The return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense excitement within the community. From the gradual reveal of fresh additions ahead of the game's release, to players forming firm views on the entire lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.

With many of the Super Forms showcasing distinctive appearances that highlight their traits, one idea naturally: What's the best way to link this with astrology? The following is based on a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

The Maiden – Super Victreebel

The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Maiden is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual acid reflux. The zodiac symbol known for being endearingly judgmental is strongly reflected throughout this creature's entire lineage, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Maiden when you tell them you don’t have a 401(k), to its upside-down visage that’s just like the symbol a Maiden sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a plan.

The Scales – Mega Audino

Observe this gentle, empathetic being, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Always compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and trying to keep the harmony, there are numerous Libras who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. However, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them stress even more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Mega Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly sad backstory: Abandoned as a doll, it gained consciousness through sheer hatred and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the official info, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That sounds precisely like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal match with Super Banette.

The Archer – Mega Hawlucha

Each Mega Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a performance. As a Sagittarius myself, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “playful small entertainer” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “flexes to show off its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Archer match I can think of.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to predict disasters in advance? That gives the identical energy as a Goat, who tends to consistently believe they’re right. Interestingly, much like a visionary Super Absol, they frequently are.
