Currently they're inexperienced, speedy and bold. However, we must acknowledge how soft the Patriots’ schedule has been. They've played against the easiest slate across the NFL, yet vulnerabilities remain. Drake Maye has been brought down 35 times – the second-most in football – with several hits he suffered last weekend proved brutal. As the season progresses, those beatings accumulate.

Denver Analysis

Denver stands at eight wins similarly, yet it seems that they're barely surviving. The Denver signal-caller has shown inconsistency, with the attack struggling, while the defensive unit provides most of the responsibility. Absent adequate signal-calling, the Broncos won't frighten playoff opponents. The Chargers are also hovering in the Western division holding a 7-2 record, yet medical problems affecting their protection unit will make it tough for extended playoff success.

Pittsburgh Steelers

And then there’s Pittsburgh, somehow still leading the Northern division notwithstanding receiving a decisive loss to Los Angeles on Sunday night. Their scoring margin remains negative, their defensive unit frequently falters, and Aaron Rodgers’ limitations during his career phase continue to show up. They maintain a 5-4 record while surviving, however, the Ravens, featuring a recovered Jackson with manageable games ahead, are riding a three-game streak. It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that Baltimore has closed within a game of the Steelers, though the speed of this shift highlights deficiencies within the Steelers' uneven performances. Considering the Ravens opened with a 1-5 record and currently seem they should win the division speaks volumes regarding the complete conference.

Traditional Powers

The Ravens represent a segment among three elite teams – joined by Buffalo and Kansas City – powered by their MVP quarterbacks, who would still strike the most fear for opponents if they made the playoffs. They represent undesirable playoff matchups, yet Kansas City and Buffalo continue to self-destruct.

Buffalo Bills

Previously, Buffalo was celebrating post Chiefs triumph. This weekend they encountered a particularly discouraging setback during the campaign. They didn't merely fall against Miami; they suffered humiliation, losing 30-13 as visitors. It was Miami’s first win versus Buffalo in more than 1,000 days.
